  1. I'm glad chapala.com is up and running again because I am anxious to get info from you about where you found this particular pump and who you found to install it for you?

It's exactly what I need but I didn't know about this kind of pump.

Thanks for any info you can pass along--Pat

Good work, but if you say "9 am" and he says "9 - 9:30", make sure you say 9.

      Okey, dokey!  Thanks a lot!

  2. I have bought Katya for years. I call Chava on his cell 331 071 7007 he usually delivers in about 1/2 hour. 19 pesos
  3. MarkWebles--how can you not understand that if the CAM (complementary and alternative medicine) insurance company and the Swiss govt. ONLY pay for modalities that are efficacious, that there MIGHT be something to this type of treatment?
  4. Interesting article on Swiss govt. findings of homeopathy efficacy. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dana-ullman/homeopathic-medicine-_b_1258607.html
  5. This article is hopelessly outdated. In the late 1990s and early 2000s I sat on the advisory board of the largest "alternative care insurance" company in the US. We regularly met to advise the insurance company of the efficacy of different "complimentay" medical modalities and advised whether or not the insurance should pay for these modalities. Homeopathy claims were routinely paid. As an aside--Reiki was not considered efficacious and claims were not paid.
  6. Many people have benefited from homeopathy without believing in it, so not a placebo in their case. Again, she didn't ask for anyone's opinion. In fact, she asked for private messages.
  7. Why post anything at all of this nature? OP didn't ask for anyone's opinion.
  8. Okey, dokey, I will email you. I cleaned my box out completely yesterday.
  9. I can't leave you a message either. Try my inbox again as I have cleaned it out. I have no idea where to find my "feed".
  10. Just send me a private message and I'll dig it out. I haven't done any indigo dyeing for a few years.
  11. My thiourea dioxide made it through several years ago. Maybe you just got a cranky customs officer. Or an ignorant one. Let me know if you need some before you manage to get any from the US.
  12. Go see Dr. Comacho in Chapala.  She is the only person that I have never seen or heard a bad thing about

  13. Oh, good heavens Camille! How do you know she didn't have her eyebrows burned off or her eyelashes. Or she's bored and has nothing better on which to spend her money. NOT your business.
  14. Hey B-Man, settle down. Your judgement isn't necessary. Call Spencer McMullen at Chapala Law to see if he can help.
  15. Wendy Howard had some Kefir water grains to give away. See her post on Gringos Ajijic yahoo board.
  16. Most people won't want to go to the expense of testing Ajijic's water. It is mainly used for bathing, clothes washing and lawns. The water in the decrepit lines is not the same quality as the water in the wells.
  17. I don't believe that tap water in Lakeside comes from the lake at all but from wells. I've heard that there is arsenic in the water in Chapala but not further west. Guadalajara draws some of it's water from the lake.
  18. There is NO Premarin generico!!! I have found that conjugated estrogen doesn't work as well. I was on bio-identical HRT in the States and brought my "combination" prescription with me. I know Dr. Arch, in Guad., can provide bio-identicals.
  19. He came and helped us one time with the spay/neuter clinic we of Operation Amor was having. He is a great guy and appears to be very knowledgeable. I hope he will be patronized so he can earn a living doing what he loves.
  20. When I was practicing in 2004, I charged $70US in Portland OR but that was for deep tissue, not a lala massage.
  21. Just call it Premarin and the pharmacy will know what you are talking about; specify pills or crema. Should be around 450 pesos for 42 pills in a package. Why 42 instead of 30, I'll never know. I've been taking Premarin for 40 years and there has been no generic as Pfizer has changed the formulation just enough over the years to keep the price up. Just by chance, yesterday I checked the price in the US and it has risen to over $100US for 42 pills. What a rip!!!! Primogyn is NOT a generic for Premarin.
  22. Board certification is a must. But it does not guarantee perfect results every time. I personally interviewed three plastic surgeons in Guadalajara before I chose one to do my abdominoplasty and eye lift. I chose Miramontes as he was the middle priced and was well qualified. He showed me many photos of before and after. One of the things he didn't do before surgery was to mark my eyelids while I was upright to guide him in cutting the excess skin from my eyelids. Consequently, too much skin remained. About six months later he redid my eyelids for free as an outpatient in his office (I stayed in their recovery suite for several hours). The results are still not satisfactory as he left more skin over one eye than the other. I believe that guaranteeing one's surgical work is pretty standard in Mexico. Don't put much stock in what "you hear" about health professionals. Talk to actual patients whom the surgeon has worked on. In the States I asked for patient names I could contact before my bladder surgery and with the patient's permission, talked with several. Patient confidentiality in Mexico is practically nonexistent so that should not be much of a problem. Of course, there is always the possibility of getting the same good-result patients as in the before and after photos. Life in general is a crap shoot; just do your best to turn the odds in your favor in this situation. Good luck!!
  23. When I lived in Riberas I had to take the screen off my incoming water for the washing machine. If not it would plug up in one washer load. Also took the screen off the faucet in the kitchen. Didn't do the bathroom sinks as there was not nearly the amount of water coming thru those screens as in the kitchen.
