Oh, how so? It wasn't meant to be negative or disparaging. It was an observation of cultural difference. Did I say there was something bad about it? No, you just had to jump in to defend your buddy.
sometimes, for me, this kind of situations are.... totally funny! 🤣😂
Has anyone seen the "national mechanical" movie? "Mecánica Nacional"... if you have the chance, do not miss it! Mexicans are, just, this way! so funny ! 🤣😂

I need to know if the FEGLI form OMB No. 3206-0136 and CSRS form OMB No. 3206-0142 works to designate the recipient of the Metlife Insurance LUMP SUM when the insured person is deceased. Thanks a lot for your help! 🙁
Or, who should I ask in Chapala/Ajijic?

Seriously? In my experience, the average Mexican doesn't have the same concept of adequate personal space or privacy that Americans or Canadians do. The more the merrier. A friend of mine found that his vacation rental home, that sleeps 6, and was booked for 6, had 17 people staying in it. They'll sleep 5 to a bed or just in a bedroll on the floor.
That is why we got an ONLY ADULTS all inclusive membership in the ONLY ADULTS hotel.
Also, we go there, "out of hard season".
I mean, when the Mexicans are working, we never travel during Mexican hollidays, it is the hell! 😆

Hi! have some of you heard a siren that goes off aaaaaaaaalllll night, every night? The wind brings to me that sound, and sometimes I can not sleep at all! The sound apparently comes from a siren that must be in some place by the lake, maybe Riberas or some other place towards SAT. I would like to know where it is located to ask the owner of that alarm to stop it! TIA 😒

It would help if you say what department of the government. Maybe with the facts someone here can help. Also what day do you normally receive your deposit?
For example some deposits of SSI that normally fall on the first were recorded today.
and El Menudo! All of you, Thanks for sharing your suggestions!
I am not a drama queen. But JUST IN THIS MOMENT, I got the deposit I guess it was only banking traffic and lack of enough people in the bank. THANKS LORD! All of you be happy and take care "Su Sana Distancia"
See ya! 😴

It is a requirement of non citizens or permanent residents receiving US SSI payments from a spouses account to spend 1 month every six months in the USA to continue to receive those benefits. This is nothing new. f you were not receiving SSI payments what government payments do you receive?
I know that. I have been going to USA every year...! Thanks.

What? Are you speaking of your USA social security monthly checks. I have never heard of this.
I am a widow of an American Citizen. I do not have SSN.

I didn´t get yesterday, even, my monthly deposit! and of course, I do not have social security....
I would be happy to have at least the regular deposit....

Could gov. stop the monthly payments for the retirees living here? Already they stopped mine! Now I do not know what to do! 😱🤫
