  1. The only thing I can find is a phone number: 376 765 8025. I'll check around and see if I can find anything else.
  2. For most of us, April, May and into June are hotter than we'd like. Some people actually get air-conditioners for just that reason. Ferret was merely suggesting ways to deal with the heat particularly for newbies. Even a long-times like me found a few good suggestions. Jim you might want to look into some anger management techniques or meds - just a friendly suggestion.
  3. These is a Facebook group called Westenders at Lake Chapala for folks who live in Jocotopec and the west end of the lake. I suggest you join and get your questions answered by people who liave there. https://m.facebook.com/groups/Westenders-At-Lake-Chapala-496159507435668/
  4. In Mexico a Podiatrists (Podólogo) is essentially a nurse with advanced training. Think of a nurse practitioner. They are trained in procedures such as medical pedicure and toenail fungus treatment. They are NOT medical doctors although they often call themselves 'Dr'. They do a decent job within their scope of expertise. If you have anything more complex, they may or may not admit they don't know what to do.
  5. The doctor and his staff can handle any regular podiatrist issues but they can also deal with any unexpected complications.
  6. I would strongly recommend Dr Sam Reyes at Casa de los Pies located in the SAT Hospital complex. He is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in feet. He operated on my foot, and I have been very pleased with the results. 376 688 4439 He and most of his staff speaks English.
  7. I don't want to be a nag, but not one of you provided Jorge's phone number. Just a rather vague location...
  8. Sol y Luna was inside the Plaza for many years. Then they moved to the east side of the building (outside) next to Ilox.
  9. You are probably thinking of Sol y Luna. 376 766 5850
  10. When I lived in Colorado, a friend was bitten by a rabid bat while on a camping trip. He had to undergo the very painful shot treatments so I offered him one of our dogs old rabies tags to wear. He was not amused.
  11. I remember his quirky Sci-Fi novels and his silly sense of humor. Condolences to his family.
  12. Oh Simba, you are a beautiful dog! He has the most dramatic brindle markings and the biggest doggy smile! He is a nice largish dog who weighs 45 pounds. He's about 18-months old. He is always happy and full of excitement when it's his time for a walk. He can initially appear to be a little over active in his run, but it's just because he is so happy that it's walk time! Once he's out on leash, he's amazing. Simba came to us last August. We felt that this beautiful dog would be adopted in no time. In fact, he was placed on hold by a rescue in the US, but sadly the adopters weren't able to go through with the adoption. He would do best with an active family. He does fine with other dogs and is gentle enough to be with young kids. Maybe this is just the dog you've been searching for? Contact Us
  13. Good article in this week's Reporter. A man died after being bitten by a rabid bat in Chapala. There is a big push to vaccinate all pets against Rabies so if your pets are not current on their shots, now it the time to remedy that.
  14. It all depends on how much TV you watch. We have a 20 year old analog TV that we haven't turned on in years. We occasionally watch something on the computer but not often enough to pay $110 USD a month. I have Telcel and get about 10 mgs for $399 pesos a month. Very reliable, and does a decent job of buffering.
  15. SuperLake sometimes has mint in bags in the vegetable cooler in the far left with the bags of lettuce and bell peppers. THere are a variety of herbs and I have sometimes seen mint.
  16. Remember that many specialists only come to Lakeside one or two days a week. Depending on when they are here, and how popular they are, getting an appointment can take awhile.
  17. Her office was across the street in the strip mall east of the Catholic Church. I don't know where she moved, but you might call her at Dr. Lupita Cevallos 33 1229 6265 or call Best Labs who are next door 376 688 1174
  18. I don't know what kind of crust you like, but I am very fond of il Giardino. 331 256 0502. I like the 4 cheese plus sausage. I think I ate Domino's pizza once back in the 80's and never again so can't compare.
  19. For Eric, call the Chapala Hacienda office. I'm sorry I don't have the # but they usually keep pretty close tabs on their residents.
