  1. Husband likes Elaina's taco stand around the corner from Ladrone's. Open most days about 10 - 3. I follow Judy King's advise about street food. Eat only at places that have running water so hands can be washed occasionally.
  2. I can hear it but just barely. I feel for those neighbors who are closer - and the disable the electric meter makes good sense to me.
  3. The clockmaker was Samuel Terry & Co brother of Eli Terry.
  4. I have two family heirlooms: a Sheridan style cherry wood drop leaf table and a shelf clock with wooden gears. I have been told by several dealers that the style of table was popular in New England in the 1830's. The clock maker was in business from the mid 1820's to the mid 1830's.

  8. I suggest someone see if the parking lot at RMC is full mid-day during the week. I know the SAH lot generally is. This would go a long way in explaining the sudden trashing of SAH IMHO.
  9. Which is why I frequently bring my wheelchair. I can walk but getting out of low chairs and couches is ugly.
  10. You could send the PDF of the results to your NOB Dr and see if he would accept them. If not, get the tests done NOB.
  11. No, pretty consistently 10 down. My cell always has 4G but it is on a separate account.
  12. Old timers may remember a certain Dr, who I believe is affiliated with the Riberas hospital, posting misinformation and questionable scary information on this and TOB about 6 or 7 years ago. So no I am not surprised. And plan to stick with SAH.
  13. Yes, En Su Casa plug n play modem with no house wiring. Works well for me but we don't watch TV so....
  14. In addition to Telmex, I also have a Telcel Internet plan that I am very pleased with. Very rarely down, and includes a "land line" for under 400 pesos.
  15. Both landline & Internet down in Riberas. <very big sigh>
  16. I talked to a woman who has been taking her dog regularly. She raved about how nice and well maintained the park is and also said they will be starting a 30 peso per dog fee soon.
  17. An article in the Guad Reporter reported that Stray Dogs of Mexico will be taking over the running of a newly located municipal dog shelter. This much needed shelter can use our help, so if you have some pesos to spare, please consider donating. There is much renovation needed to make this former horse stable usable for the dogs. They have set a fundraising goal of $15,000 USD. You can donate through Lake Chapala Charities https://lakechapalacharities.org/donate/ specify Stray Dogs of Mexico, or drop off donations at Maskota's Lake Veterinaria, across the Carratera from Plaza Bugambilias. article in Guad Reporter Stray Dogs of Mexico Rescue & Adoption Center- https://straydogsofmexico.com/
