  1. Really hoping to hop in the car and take a short drive to a local store that might have it.
  2. Has anybody seen pegboard and hooks for sale down here? I need a large piece.
  3. I've used the one in chapala for many years. Not only are they good quality, but many of their patterns are kept continuously in stock in case you need a replacement or decide to add a unique dish to your collection.
  4. Thanks for the replies. I had totally forgotten about sol y luna. That's what i was looking for. However this time i did use fedex next to Alex's and she was delightful. Much better price than ishop.
  5. Does anybody know if any other businesses do small package shipping other than ishop?
  6. I recently used the little shop on the carreterra in ajijic. Just a few doors east of the light at colon on the lakeside. Fixed the zipper in one day, charged 150 pesos. I just returned from a month of travel and it worked great. It was a softsided case.

    Popcorn

You can also find popcorn in the bulk re-packaged section in the back of super lake. I usually find it near the bird seed.
  8. I had the exact thing happen last summer when leaving Texas. They said it would have been ok in checked baggage . My son had just dropped me off so I called him back, he ran inside and the agent handed it to him (small airport). On my next flight I put it in checked baggage.
  9. The one across from el Parque in San Antonio would be my choice. The owners are maintaining it nicely and slowly adding more improvements. There is 1 rv there now but during the winter there are several that come and go.
  10. They are and always have been "consistently inconsistent ".
  11. I stopped by Trevor's shop in San Antonio Tlayacapan at noon today and, even though the sign said abierto, there was no answer when I knocked. Does anyone have an email or phone number to contact him? If so, please p.m. me so it doesn't go out all over the internet.
  12. Ate lunch there the other day and we were incredibly disappointed. Apparently they were out of the good "juicy" burgers because ours we're the all-too-familiar dry, tasteless, mystery meat burgers we've grown to expect in most places. Also the typical plastic cheese on top. The salads were a pile of overchopped lettuce with brown around all the edges. Why waste time on a restaurant like that?
  13. I highly recommend the Miramontes family and use them often, however when it comes to people arriving at the airport I strongly urge you to have your family hire a taxi there. It's so easy that I don't even pick up people anymore and here's why: as mentioned earlier, any kind of delay with their flight will have them stressed that you're sitting around the airport waiting for who-knows-how-long. Travelers don't need more stress. Any protests or construction blockages are hard for private taxis to get through sometimes and the airport taxis have priority and know the ropes. Don't forget traffic delays on the highway if there's an accident that hasn't been cleared; now everybody's stressed. There is a clearly marked taxi kiosk just inside the airport as passengers come out from customs. The price is fixed, tell them how many personas and show them the luggage. You pay at the kiosk and they hand you a receipt. You walk outside, a man will see your receipt and find the right size taxi for you. Easy as 1-2-3 and no one gets stressed.
