  1. Give him a break. He's in withdrawal from posting Covid stats for two years. I started posting weekly Propane prices on TOB after posting daily Covid stats there for the same two year period. Then I realized that anybody with a brain can go to those websites themselves when they want to know so I stopped.

  2. Thanks Ezzie for the update. Obviously, Ficklepie did not take the time to read your extensive report as linked above on Sunday by MostlyLost. I am not interested in any satellite set up and get along fine with streaming etc. but I do appreciate the length to which you have gone in regards to providing options for those who do.

  3. Cover your bases Stuphel. Make an appointment with Dra. Camacho at the Eye Center in Chapala and hope you get in for that "look/see" before you leave Mexico. She will make the surgery appointment for your next trip here. She only does surgery on one eye at a time but at least you'll know if you need it done on both or just one and the expected costs. Then head home to Canada for your appointment in May and jump through whatever hoops they now require. At the very least, you'll have a second opinion and two options for the timing of the surgery and you can cancel (to the delight of some other patient waiting) whichever surgery doesn't suit you after they have both been scheduled. Be aware that my mum did not like one surgeon in Ontario and she had her cataract surgery with another surgeon in Ontario. The FIRST surgeon reported that she had not had the surgery (nasty entitled p$#ck) and her license was suspended until she proved that a second surgeon had, indeed, done the surgery. Dra. Camacho does not do surgery that isn't necessary. We've been watching a very slow growing cataract in my right eye for four years now.

  4. FYI. Gourmet Garage is now Gourmet Goods and is located next to the Casino in the Laguna Mall. They are on Traitte delivery service under Tiendas so you can have them deliver right to your door. Or use the very large parking lot in front of the mall. THEY HAVE A LARGE SELECTION OF CADBURY CHOCOLATE BARS AVAILABLE. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555296175037

  5. I think I may have screwed up the instructions because Colon is the street beside La Montana plaza and it is one way going the wrong way. So go to the next street that goes north and make that two blocks going to the right to get to the street that goes down beside the Oxxo (with Intercam beside it).

  6. There is a small appliance repair shop almost to the next corner (east side) up the street that runs down beside the Oxxo on the highway in Ajijic. I don't know if he speaks English because I've always spoken to him in Spanish. His shop is full of small kitchen appliances with identifying tags on them. Worth a try. You will have to go up the one way street beside La Montana plaza, make a right at the first corner and then another right at the next corner.. shop on your left a couple of doors down. It is very hard to find parking so go with two people so one can keep driving around the block and pick you up after you've dropped it off. He is very reasonably priced. Suerte. Here are some Spanish words that you may need. "Descompuesto" (broken), "Rotado" (also broken) and the easiest "No funcione". Or he may speak English.
