  1. Try Clicker Pets . Trainer is Jena Olio. Next to Lucky Dog.
  2. It MAY be possible for your dog to attend Dog Worker's Pet Social Club in West Ajijic. Orson Perez is the owner?director. There are several areas for different sized dogs. We have been happy customers of Orson since he started his business by walking dogs. Ours, about 25 lbs, go 3x a week. Transportation is provided at an additional, very reasonable cost. Give him a call or text him. He has a page on Facebook. I believe you might be on the route coming in to town and going out.
  3. Story was that it had been purchased, but I have no info on that. I do know that if it isn't owned by an entity, it still belongs to Chapala. That however, doesn't make it "public land," and someone cannot simply declare it a Public Dog Park.
  4. True enough about being an official Fracc. We are, however, a distinct neighborhood and we are NOT the location of a dog park sanctioned by the city of Chapala. If they ever decide to make the empty lot into a dog park, they will certainly let us know and publicize it as they did the new one on the malecon. Whatever the resident told you, he/she was wrong. It is simply an empty lot in our neighborhood, and people do NOT pick up after their dogs. We are constantly watching out for piles of poop, picking up litter left by people and workers having meals there and leaving food trash and paper and beer bottles behind. It is NOT a park, much less a dog park!
  5. Sorry, but there is NO dog park in Mirasol. It is simply a vacant lot. I am a resident of Mirasol, and I can speak for my neighbors when I say that as a neighborhood, we are dismayed by the number of outsiders who come into our Fracc to walk their dogs, and let their dogs run off leash ( which most residents do not), and leashed or not, often make piles of poop which the owners do NOT pick up. Beware. The lot is not as big as it looks, and can be dangerous to those who do not know the lay of the land. There is a GIANT hole that takes up almost 1/2 of the lot, apparently intended long ago for a swimming pool. It is overgrown and hidden by thick brush. If you don't know where it is, you could easily take a bad tumble into a deep hole with big rocks and lots of thorny bushes. It is NOT an approved dog park, but just an empty lot in our neighborhood.
  6. Fly them back. If you can't go, buy a cheap ticket and send someone. Maybe they could even take some dogs to Canada for one of the shelters.
  7. I order ALL my printer paper from Amazon. i work on genealogy and print a LOT. So many choices there. I don't have a car, so I do not like chasing things around.

    Chicken thighs

    I order mine from CostCo.
  9. Take a pic and post to classifieds and let us know to go and check things out. Put $$, too.
  10. Many places online ship to Mexico. Go to their websites and look to see if they ship to Mexico. I have no idea how much additional customs/fees it might be, though.ColdWater Creek, Talbot's, just check through all the sites and look for international shipping.
  11. Fred, You can also contact Julie and Wayne Hensley. They are specialists in garage and estate sales. In addition, there are a number of local sites on FaceBook that sell such items. Another possibility is to approach some of the nicer "boutique" shops in Ajijic that cater to tourists and see if they might buy them from you.
  12. For my GP, if it is an urgent matter, I call to find out if he is in, and if so, I just go in and wait. Otherwise, I make an appointment within the week. I have never waited longer than that. He has also made evening house calls when my husband could not travel to his office, and it was not "ambulance/ER" worthy. For my orthopedist, if I use the one at the Ajijic Clinic, it's dependent on the day of the week that he is there and his surgery schedule. Usually a week, because he is there 1x a week. For my GDL orthopedist who is either in his office or in surgery, it depends on his schedule. For non emergencies, 1-1.5 weeks, and they will call me if there is an opening earlier. Dentist - We schedule cleanings, etc., in advance, but in an urgent need, she will open up her office immediately. It helps that she lives in the neighborhood behind us, but I have heard the same about most dentists. For routine fillings, crowns, etc., an appointment is usually available within the week. For more complicated work that requires the assistance of an oral surgeon who will come n from GDL, usually a week. My ophthalmologist can usually fit a person in within one week, at most 1-1.5 weeks. He does surgeries and on occasion has emergencies. I had a retinal detachment in progress and he saw me withiin 30 minutes, asking the room full of patients heading to GDL for surgery to please be patient, that he would be about 40 minutes late for all of them, but it might save my eyesight. It did. He saw me on a Friday morning and I was in surgery the next Monday morning. Had I not eaten breakfast, I would have been whisked to the eye center in GDL and operated on ahead of his cataract patients. Hope that helps .
  13. I have had 3 foot surgeries with Dr. Gustavo Tafoya Arreguin, Puerto de Hierro Sur, GDL. His specialty is traumatological orthopedic surgery. I am very pleased and highly recommend him.
  14. We use camping lanterns. Ours use D cells and are so old they probably count as antique. I recently replaced one via Amazon. If you are interested in one just for reading and not for lighting a general area, look up "Beam and Read." They are hands free as they are for needlework, have an adjustable strap and tiltable beam for work placement. Love mine. In addition, I have a fully charged , lipstick sized charger for my phone. You might consider a rechargeable power back, too.
  15. I stayed at The Hangar Inn a month ago. Fine, basic, clean rooms. Shuttle service. We had to get a Covid test and instead of taking us to the airport, they took us to a testing place down the road and we were in/out in 20 minutes. I would stay there again.
