  1. Yes, she is talking about CiBanco that is also in the Laguna Mall but at the most northern area of the parking lot... backs up to the large Telcel store and is visible from the car wash. Be warned that it is often out of money. I prefer getting money from the HSBC bank which is opposite Walmart in the Laguna Mall. They have more machines and I consider it safer than the Walmart machines. YMMV. Also, you can run your card as many times as necessary to get the amount you want as long as it does not exceed the daily limit that your card's bank has put on it. You will be charged for every transaction though.

  2. There is a difference between legal and tolerated. Technically, I think they are not legal. They can't be licensed or insured in case of accident. Recently the local government stipulated that if the carts are only on side streets they will not be bothered. In recent years folks were given tickets or had the carts impounded. Logic seems to have prevailed since folks who drive them create a safer environment for the rest of us on the busy streets. New topic seems to be motorized bikes and trikes on bike/pedestrian path. They are quiet and fast and might be dangerous to folks who are out strolling. The ones with large balloon tires seem to work well on the cobblestone streets but don't seem as safe as a golf cart. Whatever you decide just don't assume cars are going to see you or follow traffic rules so be very careful. Alan

  3. Oh sure - of course - stay driving for as long as you can whether you're competent or not? I would hope someone would advise me, if I were driving and a danger to others (and myself) - I would really like to know. If we can pass the test, great. If not, time to stop driving a killing machine - we have a wonderful bike lane and electric bikes are easy to find - plus: we have trains and planes and taxis

  4. $15,000 HSBC's limit per transaction regardless of what your bank allows..... and their own transacytion fee is pretty high IMO I agree with Ferret ..... with CiBanco timing is everything..... but I always used to call ahead and ask if it had lots of money. ( Spanish) 376 766 2382

  5. Thank you so much for posting this! Came across this article with more detail... ▷ Auto Insurance Comparator per kilometer - Rastreator.mx® Kind of timely for me since I just got a quote on my new to me 2020 vehicle... 13,000 pesos... for a vehicle that sits mostly in the driveway.

  6. Dr Delfino is my Golden Retriever's vet. The next time I am in his office I need to inform him that he may have ignited the start of world war 3 with his weather predictions 😊

  7. I regularly pull 20,000 from Banorte in Chapala across from the Church near Malecon. A little trick to know in case you don't. If you use an ATM here make sure to decline the conversion. Many people think if you decline it stops the transaction. It doesn't. They want you to use their rate if you decline it reverts to the current rate listed by the card you use. It is always a better rate than local banks have. Pulling over 20,000 and declining their rate will save you a lot of pesos.

  8. If you don't drive that much check out Miituo. Its pay by Km and they reinsure with Atlas which gives fine service. You take a picture of your odometer every month. My last bill was 12 pesos because I barely drove that month!. Like 0.58 MXN per Km..

  9. Renew your licence for 4 years BEFORE any changes are implemented. You don't have to wait until close to expiration date to renew. That way you don't have to worry about any new tests for 4 years.

  10. Max the Magnificent Maine Coon has gone on ahead of us. He has a lovely resting place in one part of our garden with a great view of the walls he loved to walk. Definitely our best cat ever, much loved and missed.
