  1. I too broke my shoulder and was told replacement surgery was necessary. I also got a 2nd opinion, have been doing physical therapy and have gained nearly full mobility. Please get a second and maybe a third opinion before you proceed.

  2. Several months ago I was in line at the CI bank in the mall, as usual, only one of the ATMs appeared to be working. A little older lady appeared to be having some difficulty working the machine…. Eventually, she left the glass boot while attempting to deal with her cash, her wallet and purse. The next guy in line said…. They should have an ATM just for a little old ladies… she made eyeiContact with him and said maybe they should have one for ###….les as well …everyone in line laughed except….p

  3. I broke a shoulder in 2008 with major complications. An orthopedic surgeon from Guadalajara said I needed shoulder replacement surgery. I did not accept that diagnosis and went for 2 other opinions. What I needed was physical therapy. I did that for 8 weeks and recovered with a little limited mobility but absolutely no pain.

  4. Shoulder surgery is just the pits, even when one has a good surgeon. There's just way too much 'stuff' in a shoulder that has to work in too many directions.

  6. All of the items that we have purchased through Ebay charged us 10.00US (flat rate no matter cost of item) for delivery to our home in Mexico. The deliveries were handled by Estsfeta in Laredo, Texas, who took them to their location in Nuevo Laredo. I have spoken with Estafeta in Laredo about a package and we discussed that they deliver packages themselves to Nuevo Laredo for delivery to locations within MX.

  8. I doubt we're talking about the same one. Ernesto has been punctual with every phone call and appointment. He made knowledgeable suggestions to my requests, gave me an approximate time to complete the work and a fair cost. I'm expecting him at noon tomorrow. He related to me that he was working at a large landscaping company in Kansas and attending college when his father had a heartattach and he moved his family here. Very professional.

  10. Oldweb is as high on his horse. Again I don't expect to not pay duty on imports, but $35 0n a $19 item, that is at least 10 years old is bs, just like the rest of your comment. Who cares if you like golf or not.

  12. I too use/have used the Sheraton 4 Points hotel in Saltillo. 2nd the recommendation. ~$60 US includes breakfast. "Secure" parking. Several hotels in the vicinity as is close to the airport. It IS a bit out of the way.... in Ramos Arizpe actually.... but there just aren't any hotels out on the cuotas around Saltillo. Matehuala is OK but just not far enough along the way for me when going north.

  13. I never had any problem paying the duty and was more than happy to do so to get something that I simply couldn't find here. There were TWO options to bring things in and they were both good so I would like to take this opportunity to give a shout out to Alex Peterson and Hugh Roberts who each ran exceptional services for border runs. I miss them.

  14. I am gobsmacked by the number of people who think it's OK to enjoy the many benefits of living in Mexico, yet get pissed off when they have to pay duty to get goods brought in from other countries. We lived entitled lives NOB and as Mexican residents, we need to get over that.
