  1. Interesting names need to be spelled correctly to avoid ridicule. Your constant daily attention gathering schemes are turning a lot of people against this forum.

  2. For those who may be unaware, Dr. Claudia has an office separate from the eye clinic in Guadalajara. I was examined by her there because I cannot climb steps. I opted for my surgery done by Dr. Garrido at Puerta De Hierro Sur, which was a perfect experience, with private room pre and post procedure, an anesthesiologist who emailed with me ahead of time to learn of my prior experience. I had eyes done separately; Zeiss (AT LISA) trifocal lenses at 42,000 pesos each all in.

  3. In the clinic you didn't go to,it's an out patient procedure.no need for stay pre and post. There is a reason that there is a Ferrarie and Lamborghini showroom beside HPH where you went to contribute.

  4. I don't know what Dra. Claudia and her family drive, but I hope it's something expensive and that I contributed to it because she (and Dr. Silva, the retinologist) saved my eyesight. Quality care deserves quality bennies.

  6. The car dealerships mentioned are near the Hospital Puerto Hierro Andares in a pretty upscale part of Guadalajara. I not sure what car dealerships being next to a hospital and several high-rise apartment buildings means. I had my cataract surgery at that hospital down from the Ferraris by Dr Eugenio Chavez de La Paz. Extremely organized pre and post op with a real emphasis on a sterile environment to limit infections. My total cost was under $50,000 pesos for both eyes (one at a time). Optic nerve damage possibly made the procedure a little more difficult.

  7. That pricing seems to be approaching US costs for 'special' cataract lenses. 2 years ago I had toric lenses placed at a cost of $2,400 US each.

  8. We flew out of GDL at the beginning of this month and returned via CBX bridge at San Diego. At GDL, the INM office had us fill out just PART of the form, but it was needed. We kept the other half for re-entry since we were coming back a different way. At least for now, DO GO to the INM window to inquire and fill out paperwork before heading to your airline counter or gate.

  9. Yes. INM form still required at GDL.

  12. I hope thats not i think name was computer land. Next to a cafe now closed. They charged us for basically nothing. They didnt use our own power supply. Said nothing was wrong. My husband had already cleaned it. Turned out our power brick that bad. But charged for cleaning. We took several laptops left for repair to Guad Technology plaza and had everything fixed within an hour as we checked out the area and ate. We have tried others but no luck. Most seem to send to Guad for repair which is fine if cant go. But I would ask a lot of questions. We just didn't like being charged for something not performed.

  13. You take an elevator ,with assistance, to the surgery rooms on the second floor.

  14. SO nice of you to consider people who, for whatever physical reason, don't have the luxury of being able to climb "... a few stairs...".

  16. Nope, sorry, but nope. I agree with your post in theory, but our annoying little troll has tried to cause tremendous damage to the reputations of very good people who are slogging through muck. Sometimes, you have to take a stand and fight back.

  17. That's absolutely not true. My husband and I had both eyes done at the same time. Excellent doctor and excellent results. Also...her sister, Dra. Paulina, is great, too. ETA: I had my eyes done about 3 years ago, so the policy on one or two eyes may have changed. Also, my eyes were $94,000 pesos but that was because I had trifocals (love 'em!) and one special lens because of bad astigmatism. Frankly, it was worth every penny and I'd do it all again in a NY second.

  18. Sadly, the problem isn't techs. It is parts. I have been waiting 2 months for a fan from HP authorized repair, Guadalajara..

  19. If you show this picture at a small off the path pharmacia, you may get some without a prescription. With a prescription, any place should be able to help you. There have been a lot of people reporting side effects. Mine are: Memory loss, and a short temper when responding to posts.🤣 Hope this helps.
