If you want to be left alone, then why are you here? just to incite hate or disrespect others? If all you have to offer is negative posts like this, what is your point? or do you just expect that everyone should be miserable? Like seriously people, if all you want to do is spread your negative and toxic comments or show everyone how hateful you really are, then why dont you just sit at home and scream in the mirror, that way you have the audience that you really want, someone that thinks just like you.

UPDATE I finally got it to work and successfully downloaded the software - IT WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT INTUITIVE. I ended up with the Best Buy website, where it was ordered and billed to my US card with a US address. I did have to clear all history and cookies in the browser, and then Best Buy transfere to the Intuit website for the download - again NOT INTUITIVE, , and eventually I could dowload Turbotax and install it in my PC. Teh whole thing took a bit over an hour - very frustrating, but eventual success. An impossible task for someone who is not technically knowledgeable. It was not this way in all prior years, ehen it was only a couple of clicks away. Anyways - mission finally accomplished

The last time we were there it looked nothing like the picture, it was very fatty, we sent it back and ordered something else, and never went back to that restaurant.

Slainte39 was a great guy. Terribly knowledgeable about things lakeside and a great source of information. Most all of us who knew him, greatly miss him. I wish his son, Mike and family the best during these difficult times.

I have to respectfully disagree, mainly because comments like "leave us alone" is anything but useful, as it implies people are not welcome. Seniority does not imply ownership, plus being an old-timer and seeing other examples, also doesn't give you insight as to what I maybe doing, it may seem simular, but it is not. So maybe I am wrong on what this site is intended to do as I thought it was here for people to connect and share ideas and it seemed like a good way to reach out and let people know what is going on and participate if they choose. But if you have no interest or desire to know, then easy enough, there are plenty of threads here that you can participate in. Many people have shown interest and provided feed back, which is great, as it gives me feed back and benefits this site as it increases traffic, plus engages users that want to be part of the conversation unfortunately you have injected yourself into the conversation for no obvious reason other that to mock and now threaten "and I can always block you", so if you are a" happy and contented person" then you would have allowed us to continue this conversation as it is doing no one harm, we are not advertising, trying to sell, or doing anything other than exchanging ideas. I am hoping to bring a little fun and excitement, it might not be new, but it will be different. Also if I am violating a board rule then point it out as I am not aware of any that I am braking, otherwise I am sure the moderators would let me know. with that said I would like to point out the old saying That, "If you have nothing nice to say, Try not saying anything at all" because there is no reason people should shut down a conversation, just because it isn't a topic they want to talk about.

If you don't want to watch his docuseries by all means don't watch it. There is no need to disparage him for wanting to make a video about the area. I on the hand love to watch videos and documentaries about Mexico and this area.

Possibly can be done easier in Ocotlan. Easy drive with minimum traffic and parking in the shopping center.

dichosalocura I agree with you.... if for no other reason that I don't personally believe that anyone's video, even if it is done well by a Journalist, is going to make enough folks actually move here such that we would recognize an uptick.

He is not necessarily promoting more development of this area. He just wants to make a cool video. Many people before him have come and made videos about Lake Chapala. Nothing is wrong with that. If he is as good as he says, his videos will make for an interesting watch. I'll watch them. Folks try to lighten up a little and enjoy life.

One of the main reasons to get a laptop in the U.S. is because it will have an English keyboard and an English operating system. If you have any computer problems here, you can contact Luis Algarin. He makes housecalls and speaks English (because tech can be hard enough without the language barrier). 332-340-7501 or landline 376-688-1354. Usually his assistant Kia Estrada does the housecalls but she is awaiting the birth of her daughter. He helped an 88 year old friend with a computer problem at her home recently.

I also like the Hot Italian Berlin Sausage. If I slice and dice one sausage when frozen and add it to the spaghetti sauce, it's perfect for a one person serving.

My take is that you are looking at an opportunity to contribute to the overall knowledge of the area... Ignore the sad sacks as they are perpetual whiners...

yeh no, to this, it will probably go on YouTube for hosting but monetization has been turn off. But as far as new people, well that is an eventuality, unless you plan on setting up road blocks. People will come regardless, but it would be better if they were informed. As far as other videographers and version 4, I have no idea what the history is on that, all I can say is I am not considered nor have any desire to be a videographer, vlogger, influencer, or youtuber. The closest description would be Journalist but I think the last couple of years has left me thinking its time to do something else The reality is this, I have the equipment that I dont want to sell or just sit around collecting dust and just because I dont want to do the news anymore doesn't mean I want to do nothing. I am also not going to say that if I can make money, that I wouldn't do it because that is just stupid, I just haven't figured out that part yet. So for now this is just a pet project to keep me busy.

I am not hating or disrespecting anyone...just laughing and very amused as I am sure are a lot of oldtimers here (yours truly 14 years) since we have seen this movie many, many times before!!! This is not exactly what this board is for, and I can always block you, but like to have a little giggle now and then by just scanning your wish and hope to list. By the way, I am a very happy and contented person, so I do not think I will be screeming in the mirror anytime soon!!!

Well Z4 while I agree that this will probably be at least version 4 by the latest videographer, who will get Lakesiders looking to get their face on the Internet and their 14 years here giddy to contribute their story, I doubt that it's going to affect your life here by ANY measurable amount.
