  3. Woke up today and had a scary thought. Googled (thought 7) and found there were supposedly 10 plagues visited on Egypt when Pharaoh would not permit Israelites to leave. Biblical, scientific, and other sources all have opinions about causes/ veracity, etc. No opinion from me. BUT.......... for whatever reason, if this happened regardless of cause/form.......... what does that mean today? We've had Original Sars CoV2, followed major variants ( never mind countless sub- and sub- sub- variants): Delta, Alpha, Gamma, Beta, and now Omicron. So even if we let the original version count as one, does that mean we won't be out of these woods until four more new ones appear? 🤔 This is NOT meant as a serious topic for starting a s**t storm, but a tongue in cheek way to say......... Happy New Year to all, but the fat lady is nowhere close to singing yet so y'all stay safe! 😻😻😻

  5. Happy New Year to you both. Since I was 20 years old until now world population has doubled. There are billions crowded into cities in close proximity to each other. That has to have some impact if what they taught us in basic biology classes is correct. The good news is this virus, though artificially created, seems to be following the usual path of becoming less dangerous with subsequent evolutions. So maybe it won't take four years to get out of this mess. We are fortunate to live here with plentiful sunshine, fresh air and mild temperatures. As a result we are less likely to be in close quarters/crowds long enough to catch covid. It is so great to be living in Mexico! Of the fairly numerous places I've lived, this is by far the best. There's a great reason for a Happy New Year right there.

  8. Please ask, whichever source you use, whether it has been third party lab tested for concentration, heavy metals, pesticides or fungus. To my knowledge, no such lab exists in Mexico. That is why I chose NuLeaf Naturals. Buy CBD Oil | CBD Oil For Sale | Organic High Grade Hemp Extracts (nuleafnaturals.com) I stocked up when Alex Peterson folded his delivery service. He had no trouble bringing it across the border and paying the IVA on it since it is a legal product in Mexico. If anyone who knows of another reputable delivery service with a mailing address in the U.S., I would love to hear about it.

  10. Another vote for https://www.handsoftheartisan.com/en/ Made by Canadians. It helped my 15 year old doggie in the last years of her life. They make CBD for people and pets.

  11. I also remember how she helped my elderly Dutch/Belgian friends in Chapala Haciendas. A big heart for people and animals. Very sorry that I will never see her again.

  12. Dra Justina Lopez has several different levels of CBD oil. She is a rehabilitative medicine doctor in West Ajijic, on the service road of the carretera just west of Dental Express. Her number is 376-766-5563 and is excellent in several aspects.

  13. I wish I knew the outcome. Guess I'll trot over to the San Antonio Hospital. This is my hubby's collection of films taken from 2012 to 2015. There are a LOT of them. Since, in Mexico, we are our own Medical Filing System, it would be prudent for SOME medical entity to have proper disposal. Thanks for the input and I will continue to hope for more.

  14. I love my battery backup power system. It is so designed that I have a light or two in every room, and that my TV and computer have power and of course the refrigerator/freezer. Luckily, living on a steep hill my upper aljiba or large water tank, is mostly underground, but still about two stories higher than the house. So, I do not need a pressurized water system for the house. And I have more than enough solar panels to take care of most all of my electrical needs.

  15. They are really not hazardous to you.....just cellulose acetate or polyester film base, and the metallic silver that forms the image. Probably could break the average home shredder, however and there are better options than landfill. Here's a link with some good tips if you prefer not to "bin" them: How to Dispose of X-Ray Films? The Right Way! - How to Dispose

  16. Yes, just keep in mind that a hybrid inverter or other type that works "off grid" is required; standard grid-tied inverters are designed to shut down when there is no grid reference as a global standard safety feature. Anyone contemplating a new system or in need of an upgrade can place a hybrid inverter to start with and choose to add the batteries later if they prefer, and this way, they do have the capacity / ability to go "off grid" or at least run the essential loads of the home if CFE is not there.
