You are dealing with the master of using inferring, implying, and plausible deniability so good not even eagle-eyed Moderator2 could accuse MC of personal attacks. š6 points

This is the new replacement eyesore since the black hole next to the high rise in El Dorado was filled. That entire area, including WalMart is a designated eyesore area and it is very important to maximize the ugliness there. Seriously what I have heard is there are structural problems. It could very well be they just ran out of money too. Unfinished construction eyesores sitting for years is far from unusual in Mexico as you know. Without doubt that building represents a new record in ugly construction hopefully not to be matched soon although that senior citizen ghetto being built west of Ajijic certainly qualifies as a contender.3 points

Now that Fauci has declared that mask mandate is over what does MC do? Does he bow down and follow Fauciās lead or does he follow his rebellious nature and wears a mask?3 points

Economically productive is part of the last chart in the article that you posted. There are other categories shown as well. Why are you so interested in flinging $hit at Canada? Were you denied residency there?2 points

Is that a real question? Here's one answer: to get a fast, cheap burger when you don't know where to go for a better one and you do know that the ones at Carl's Jr. aren't bad at all.š2 points

Not exactly. You might want to study up on the difference between its and it's.2 points

You are so right about Red Lobster.....TERRIBLE. The only two with US names that I find good are The Cheesecake Factory in Galerias and ArbyĀ“s in the Gran Plaza. Not sure if itĀ“s a US chain or not, but CarlĀ“s Jr. is better than McD or BK.2 points

Wow. You're a tough sell. I am asking you AGAIN to read the link that I posted on page 3 of this thread because if you call THE JOURNAL OF THE AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION and THE NEW ENGLAND JOURNAL OF MEDICINE biased then I really can't help you.2 points

Last Saturday I went online to get an appointment to be vaxed In Laredo Texas I had the choice of Pfizer, Moderna or J&J I choose J&J. Tuesday I drove to Laredo crossing at Colombia.. At the border I showed my Canadian passport I was asked the purpose of my visit to the US I replied medical appointment, he said have a good day sir... total time stopped at the US border 2 mins My appointment was for 10am Wednesday morning.. had to wait awhile for the vaccine to be delivered, the only ID I showed them was my Mexican permanent resident card.. which they said was fine, all you require is a government issued photo ID, a drivers license is fine. It was around 10.45 I got the shot, no pain easy peasy... The people at the pharmacy were great.. they said they have several Canadians come there for the shot.. Spent the rest of Wednesday shopping, drove back today. While shopping I I noticed signs at several pharmacies saying ā Vaccine available here, walk inās welcomeā But if I was driving that far I would schedule an appointment and print off the form.. just in case the guy at the border wants to see it... Despite what a certain person who posts to everything on this board the border is open... And I was not alone so I do have a witness I also know a couple of Canadians who have driven back to Canada in the last couple of weeks with no issues at the US border.1 point

Friends of mine from Riberas found out about it and went (married couple). My husband missed the Chapala first dose so we jumped in the car and went up there, and he got it too. In the "vacc room" we ran into another foreign friend getting it, plus I saw several other foreigners I didn't know. As far as I know the whole thing spread by word of mouth but the "word" was: "...Not enough people here so seniors who live in Chapala municipality feel free to come up".1 point

There is no covid test required to fly to Mexico. If Houston is your choice probably one night because of flight times. You can do LAX and return the same day on Volaris.1 point

June bugs are the big green ones, the smaller brownish ones are called May Beetles. Itās the same 6 gringos that attended a meeting quite a few years ago at a persons home who shall remain nameless...They were going to close down every venue with music that continued after 7pm. Never happened.. There are more music venues that ever before .. Why. ? Because the majority of the people want music.. But they like to bring the subject up about once a year to see if they can drum up more support for their cause.. All thatās missing is the post.. āI was a sound engineer for 50:years blah blahā1 point

They are highly illegal and dangerous! You should immediately turn over any you currently have to me, and I will make sure they are disposed of in a safe manner. Bring some Doritos and cookies. š But for real; My understanding is Marijuana is being legalized. It is currently decriminalized. So you may posses 5g of cannabis in Mexico. I do not have any idea how many gummies that would be. https://www.loc.gov/law/help/decriminalization-of-narcotics/mexico.php1 point

Just because you can't find it does not mean that it does not exist. And the logic... or lack thereof... that 'something changed from one week to the next' is also flawed.... but it does make for a good 'talking point' thrown in if one is looking to discredit the decisions being made, for whatever reason. Let's face it.... you are not going to change your mind about this and similar things, looking for every reason to post that it was bad information to begin with. Others of us are more or less comfortable taking the scientific guidance that is given as a reasonable course of action, given by reasoned professionals for the good of each of us specifically and the population in general.1 point

BINGO! ALL things of a medical nature evolve as we observe and learn more. Are you not going to have heart surgery or a stent because it wasn't done X number of years ago? Nobody should ever stay in a complete stagnation of knowledge. All of our lives and every single day is an opportunity to learn and evolve.1 point

I too have become somewhat 'skeptical' of information that is coming out of the CDC. But IMO that agency has been forced to become political along with being scientific and THAT is never a good thing. In addition, there is no 'playbook' for this virus and by definition 'scientific' is never meant to mean 100% sure, 100% of the time. When more is learned, releasing that information is a gift, not a cause for denial of the entire program. But what I am more skeptical of is when seemingly smart folks believe that they have all the information they need, that it can never be upgraded by new information and by god "that's my belief and I'm sticking to it"! Two last thoughts.... IMO the 'original' mention of 'face diapers' was as tacky and the later one in rebuttal was. And also I will continue to wear a mask and social distance.... especially in Mexico....if asked to by the establishment I am entering, or if I feel it is a good idea both from my own personal well being as well as that of others.1 point

Canada welcomes immigrants but only well qualified one's need apply. Canada to welcome up to 390,000 in 2022. https://www.cicnews.com/2020/03/canada-to-welcome-up-to-390000-immigrants-in-2022-0313872.html#gs.174tin What about illegal immigrants? Like the one's the U.S. is taking in at it's southern border. Send some transport down there and help out. Take them up north to make Canada their home and help them out with your wonderful social welfare programs.0 points
