  1. Today
  2. I used Telmex years ago, in a different location, closer to the airport and had plenty of problems. I now live in a gated community in Chapala and Total Play is not available. I went with Starlink about a year ago and don't regret it. They don't have TV but I use Netflix, Amazon, Starz and DAZN to get what I want to watch. I have never had a downtime from Starlink, only from a brownout. I spend about $1,000 Pesos per month, with great up/down speeds that I only expect to get better, the more satellites that they put up.
  3. Sorry. I did another search that looks correct.
  4. OK, I looked again at the Post. What ibara posted shows a 32km route.... 9 hours 34 minute walk.... FROM the GDL airport TO where the map system thinks the Airport Gargen Hilton is located... up by the Radison Hotel Tapatio. That location is NOT correct so the 32 km walk is also not correct nor was the Post (due to the map system not knowing where the hell the new Airport Hilton is located! For what it's worth Google Maps shows it up there also and NOT at the airport as the name implies and that sm1mex and the driver have confirmed)
  5. I corrected my post, please look at it again.
  6. Maybe the Hilton will provide wheel chairs and a porter for their guests who require it.
  7. Please look closely at what Ibarra posted. The hotel location is at the airport.
  8. My driver had an airport run today. Quite a walk past customs and the FedEx UPS carriers etc. the person walking needs a cane due to a double fracture to the thigh several weeks ago so it may be a little far. Well over 300 feet per my driver research. Thanks.
  9. ibara there appears to be a new Hilton hotel onsite to GDL.... "...Strategically located at the Guadalajara International Airport... but I see no mention of exactly where it is located... how many steps. https://www.hotel-online.com/press_releases/release/hilton-garden-inn-guadalajara-airport-opens-in-mexico/
  10. ... or eliminate it altogether. Why maintain DSL copper and DSLAM boxes when there is fiber on each street.
  11. They have been making this free offer for over a year. IMO one would be remiss to not take them up on that offer. Although you are close enough to central or a demark box, it is only a matter of time before your DSL service will go the way of the dinasour. The house I stay in in lower Las Salvias moved both the house and casita over to fiber. Only one time was it down... due to a bad connection out on the street. Very happy.
  12. It's a store where things are not as they appear....
  13. Oh that's right, I couldn't figure out the question either, I too, have a Mirage heating and cooling system located above my bed in the master bedroom. I love it, especially when it's a little too hot at night. I almost never use it to heat but I sure like having the cooling (HVAC) system, to run a short period before I go to bed at night.
  14. Yesterday
  15. Probably because it is useless and even more so on weekdays. DId make a great opportunity for the person in charge to get more retirement funds.
  16. If you don't it is just a matter of time untile your copper service has problems.
  17. We have had Telmex fiber optics in Brisas de Chapala for around a year. Couldn't be happier. We always have Mbps of 49 to 59. Here is current speed test results:
  18. My Telmex is slowly getting faster as is occurring hopefully most everywhere that Telmex is offered. My question is while sitting up here in Seattle for another two months is, What about fiberoptics? I received an email from Telmex, telling me that fiberoptics has finally reached my neighborhood and they are apparently offering an upgrade for free for those in my small neighborhood. Is Telmex fiberoptics that good in Ajijic? Are those of you who upgraded to fiberoptics happy with this upgrade. I would love to hear how you like it. Thanks in advance for any comments you might make.
  19. https://hvacmirage.us/ We have had several posts recently about air-conditioning and heating units. Here's one: ac window units By Constance February 24 in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
  20. And what, perchance, is a Mirage store?
  21. 3 questions Are you on fiberoptic? Have you re-booted your modem? Have you talked to tech support?
  22. 19 April 2024 Visa rate 16. 915816 Mastercard rate 17.052013 (Present day's rate was available at 3:05 PM EST)
  23. I have a Telcel modem with internet service works just fine, never goes off...
  24. FYI. They will come to your home or they will come out to your car and trim toenails in the car.
