Filmfest Inner Circle members are invited to the Encore Inner Circle Party on October 5th at the beautiful home of Averial and Richard on Rio Amazones No. 44 in Rancho del Oro. Inner Circle donors receive free tickets to Opening and Closing Parties, film admission tickets, discounts on Film Passes, a Festival poster and special seating at the Opening Film and Awards Ceremony.
     The kickoff for this year's Ajijic Filmfest is "75 Years of Movie Music in Concert," presented at the Auditorio November 15 and 16. Tickets, at 60 pesos, go on sale one week before the show at the Auditorio. Barbara Clippinger-Keener directs and choreographs performers, among whom are: Gordon Weaver, Jim Lloyd, Robin Lawranson, Joyce Vath, Douglas Livingston, Tod Jonson, Ektor Carranza, Ann Clegg, Mike Niederman, Ray Himmelman, Howard Dreicer, Mack Morrison, Barbara Hawkins, Pat Carrol, Carmen Carranza, Ron Richter and Sandy Vandermeer, who also produces the show.
     In conjunction with Avant Gourd Gallery of Ajijic, Festival del Cine hosts an exhibition of artisans not often seen at public events. Famous national craftsmen will be exhibiting their work at the "Maestros del Arte" exhibition, November 22, 23 and 24 at the Hotel Real de Chapala, 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is only 20 pesos.       Last month at St. Andrew's Church, the Opera Buffs presented Joel Juan Qui, concert pianist and featured soloist with the Jalisco Philharmonic. This is a performer who plays with unusual virtuosity and power. For information about the Opera Buffs, please call Bonnie Kleffel at 766-1552.
